Length: Approximately 5 Weeks
Cost: $750.00
This course teaches you how to run AutoCAD. It includes topics that are found in Fundamentals, Intermediate, and Advanced AutoCAD courses elsewhere. This course covers what you need to know to go to work and hold down a job using AutoCAD (if you already are trained in advanced drafting). If you're just starting out in your drafting training, then this is the course you take first, and follow it with a Basic Drafting course, then an Advanced Drafting course (Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural).
Included in the course are lessons on drawing lines to precise measurements, circles, arcs, editing, dimensioning, blocks, attributes, hatching, polylines, grips, several practice drawings, using the Design Center, xrefs, plotting, paperspace, and beginning 3D modeling (with rendering, lights, and materials).
Upon completion of this course, if someone hands you a drawing and says "put this into AutoCAD", you will be able to do it, and also plot it.
This course serves as a pre-requisite for Basic Drafting and any of the Advanced Courses (Piping, Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical).
